AMA2000S ARE TAKING OVER TIKTOK
The mannequin challenge first dominated social media in 2016, when large groups of people would take videos of themselves posing like mannequins. The videos were often posted with Amerian hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd’s hit, Black Beatles.
Mzansi’s Ama2000s are now putting their own spin on the mannequin challenge using a South African classic. TikTok user @justcallmesaucy_ posted a video of themselves and their classmates taking part in their status challenge on 7 September.
The Ama2000s use Magrimbe’s Sister Bethina for the video and have since achieved more than two million views.

MORE AMA2000S GOING VIRAL
In July, one Ama2000 took over her local Pick n Pay with her fire dance moves. The girl stunned shoppers with her moves as she got down to Young Stunna and Kabza De Small’s amapiano hit, Adiwele.
She even did the splits and received a loud cheer from the shoppers and the Pick n Pay staff.
