Table Mountain Aerial Cableway hits 32 million visitors

The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) happily welcomed its 32 millionth visitor to Table Mountain today, Tuesday, 14 January.

According to TMACC’s Instagram page, the lucky visitor was Gavin Beckmann from Bloemfontein.

“We are beyond excited to welcome Gavin Beckmann from Bloemfontein, our 32 millionth visitor, to the iconic Table Mountain Aerial Cableway!” TMACC said in an Instagram post.

As a token of appreciation, Beckman received a few great prizes, including two Fast Track tickets, lunch for two at VIEWS by De Grendel, as well as a voucher for Table Mountain’s Shop at the Top.

“We want to extend a huge thank you to every single person who has made this journey with us to the top of Table Mountain. Your love and support help us continue to bring breathtaking views to the world!” the Cableway Company added.

Last year in January, the cableway welcomed its 31 millionth visitor, also from Bloemfontein.

Festive Season 2024 – “Thank you for visiting,” says TMACC

The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) also recently reflected on yet another busy season holiday this past December.

“We saw countless smiling faces and happy families this December as they travelled to the top of the New7Wonders of Nature site and enjoyed the picture-postcard-perfect panoramic views. For most people coming to Cape Town our beloved mountain has always been the one thing they don’t want to miss, and it looks like this season was no different even if we are not yet back to the kind of numbers we saw before the pandemic,” Selma Hercules, Executive Director for TMACC said.

Keeping people safe, secure, and comfortable while they visit the mountain is a team effort she added.
