Taipei dispatches forces to monitor China's 'live-fire' drills off Taiwan's coast
Taiwan sent its naval and air forces on Wednesday to monitor Chinese "live-fire" military exercises taking place 40 nautical miles (74 kilometres) off the island’s southern coast. In a statement, Taiwan’s military said China “has blatantly violated international norms by unilaterally designating a drill zone" so close to the island.
