The $1.99 ALDI Find I Only Wish I Would Have Tried Earlier
I finally picked up this ALDI find from the deli, and I'm so glad I did. I'm eating it all summer long.

I remember trying hummus as a kid and not enjoying the fibrous texture of chickpea skin and its quick punch of flavor. Hummus wasn’t regularly in my refrigerator growing up, so it wasn’t until I started grocery shopping for myself that I discovered the delicious world of hummus. I love it now and try new flavors whenever I find them at the store.
This week, I stopped by my local ALDI to see what new ALDI Finds would be patiently awaiting my discovery. I generally like to start in the deli section before moving toward the dry foods and household items, which is how I discovered two hummus flavors: Park Street Deli Smoky BBQ Hummus and Park Street Deli Smoky Tomato Hummus.
Priced at $1.99 for an eight-ounce container, I was intrigued by the Smoky BBQ flavor but I went ahead and grabbed Smoky Tomato so I could compare the two.

Why I Love Park Street Deli Smoky BBQ and Smoky Tomato Hummus
Both hummus offerings accurately capture the flavor described in their respective titles.
At first, I was a little unsure of how I felt about BBQ-flavored hummus, but I was impressed by its smooth, smoky BBQ flavor. To my surprise, the BBQ flavor paired well with the chickpeas, brown sugar, dehydrated onion and garlic, and tahini. I also caught paprika and sea salt notes in each bite, which helped round out the overall flavor.
However, my favorite of the two is easily the Smoky Tomato hummus. I was instantly reunited with the familiar flavor of hummus that I love. The smoky take on a classic snack was irresistible. The tomato is front and center in the best way possible. Unlike the BBQ flavor, which is more of a time-and-place type of hummus, the Smoky Tomato hummus is a comforting and familiar choice.
