The 3 Best New Trader Joe's Products I Bought This Month
There were so many great new Trader Joe's finds this month that it was hard to choose just three favorites.
Summer is cruising right along and Trader Joe’s keeps releasing products like there’s no tomorrow. Every time I visit I toss a couple of new things in my cart; I am never bored when I’m at TJ’s.
My husband and I look forward to trying all of the newest products, and we’ve had a ball this month. In fact, it was hard to narrow down our favorites to just a few, so I’d like to give a shout-out to a few runner-ups:
- Dark Chocolate Dipped French Butter Cookies ($3.29): How could that be bad? It can’t. It’s good.
- Pizza Seasoned Crackers ($2.49): I wasn’t won over by these immediately, as cute as they are. Then I topped them with a small pile of shredded mozzarella and toasted them. Now they are my favorite snack.
- Cotton Picnic Cloths ($5.99): These are so festive and nice! A lovely summer addition to my kitchen towel collection.
Now, onto the best of the best! Here are three Trader Joe’s items I’m currently stocking up on.
1. Spinach & Ricotta Raviolini ($3.49)
I’m a sucker for cute little stuff, so I immediately snatched up these mini ravioli, aka raviolini. I was a bit concerned that they wouldn’t have enough filling considering their size, but my fears were unfounded. Stuffed with ricotta, spinach, and mozzarella, they’re just right. They take literally a minute to cook, and they’re beyond fun to eat—you can pop them right into your mouth whole!
First, I served these with a classic tomato sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, which was great. The next time, I tossed them with halved fresh cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, and arugula, along with a light lemon vinaigrette for a delightful pasta salad. One package is perfect for two if you’re serving it as a main dish.
2. Rainbow's End Trail Mix Bars ($4.99 for 5)
Rainbow’s End is the trail mix that TJ’s has sold for many, many years, and they’ve finally turned it into a bar with the cutest packaging. The mix of roasted nuts, raisins, and chocolate candies is a classic for a reason, and it works great in a bar, making it much easier to take on the go. These bars saved my life a couple of times this month when I was out and about and starving.
They’re also affordable for the high quality of the ingredients. The price works out to 99 cents a bar, which is cheaper than a Kind bar.
3. GT's Guava Paloma Agua de Kefir ($3.99)
I wasn’t sure about this one, but I picked it up because it was new and I liked the sound of the flavors. I love a paloma and guava is a nice addition to the mix. I ended up loving it. Water kefir is a dairy-free fermented beverage that contains lots of probiotics—try it if you like fizzy drinks that aren’t too sweet.
I found GT’s Agua de Kefir completely refreshing. It’s fruity and a bit tart and fizzy without being sweet. I drank it over two days, and with the cap screwed on tight, it didn’t lose any of its fizz. And hopefully it did something good for my gut!
