A small group of concerned supporters of Kaizer Chiefs marched to the club’s headquarters in Naturena Village on Saturday, calling for urgent changes following the team’s recent run of poor results.

The supporters gathered outside the club’s base in Naturena to voice their frustration after the Soweto giants suffered four successive defeats, a streak that has intensified pressure on the club’s management and technical team.

Carrying placards and chanting slogans, the fans said they were demanding accountability and a clear plan to restore the club’s competitiveness.

Mounting criticism

Kaizer Chiefs, the most supported team in the Premier Soccer League, have faced mounting criticism from sections of its fan base over recent seasons after struggling to maintain consistent form and challenge for major trophies.

The last time Kaizer Chiefs were crowned league champions was in the 2014/15 season.

Some supporters at the march said they wanted the club’s leadership to communicate more openly about plans to strengthen the squad and improve performances on the field.

Despite the frustration, the demonstration remained peaceful, with fans emphasising that their protest was motivated by their deep passion for the club.

Kaizer Chiefs has yet to issue an official response to the demonstration.

Lost last three league fixtures

Kaizer Chiefs are currently sixth in the Betway Premiership, 11 points behind bitter rivals Orlando Pirates, who lead the way on goal difference from defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Amakhosi have lost their last three league fixtures: 1-0 vs Richards Bay, 3-0 vs Orlando Pirates and 2-1 vs Stellenbosch FC.

Prior to that, they were bundled out of the CAF Confederation Cup after losing their final group stage match 1-0 against Zamalek.

They also lost in the Round of 32 of the Nedbank Cup.

The last time Kaizer Chiefs tasted victory was on 8 February 2026 against Al Masry in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Their last Betway Premiership win came on 28 January away against Marumo Gallants.

Kaizer Chiefs’ next match will be at FNB Stadium against Durban City on Sunday, 15 March (15:30).
