Warrant of arrest out for ‘TikTok’ comedian who abused donkeys

A TikTok personality from Limpopo is in hot water after he made a video in which he allegedly brutally slapped four donkeys. The National Council of SPCAs (NSPCA) rescued the animals but the suspect was nowhere to be found.

TIKTOK COMEDIAN WANTED FOR ABUSING ANIMALS

The NSPCA said it launched an investigation after being alerted to the video. “In the video, an ‘actor/musician’ is seen brutally slapping and terrorising four donkeys- apparently in an attempt to create humorous content for his viewers.”

The donkeys were found in a village in Limpopo and taken to a safe haven by the NSPCA where they are receiving veterinary attention and special care.

The TikTok comedian was not present when NSPCA rescued the animals but the council approached the court and applied for a warrant of arrest, which was granted.

The NSPCA also pressed criminal charges against the suspect in terms of the Animal Protection Act and is confident that he will be apprehended imminently and made to answer for his actions.

“This abuser has not only deliberately harmed the donkeys, he has also disrespected the people who depend donkeys for survival and he has portrayed South Africans in a negative light to the rest of the world.

“Anyone who has any influence over others should be leading by a good example instead of promoting the violence and abuse of vulnerable members of society,” said the council.

In a Facebook post at the start of October, the Tik Tok comedian referred to the incident and said his community “sold him out.”

“Even if they charge me then I go to jail I will come back and continue with different content otherwise kill me because I know with content [I] am the best in SA!” he wrote.
