Scandal! actress Natasha Sutherland, who recently scored a SAFTA for her role as Layla McKenzie shot to fame as a TV presenter on SABC1’s children’s show Kideo is also a motivational speaker, singer, and songwriter.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT ACTRESS NATASHA SUTHERLAND
The award-winning actress and Kideo TV presenter Natasha Sutherland has also appeared in numerous TV shows such as Egoli: The Place of Gold, Honeytown, and Tarzan before bagging the popular role in Scandal! as Layla McKenzie.
BORN IN KWAZULU-NATAL
According to TVSA, Sutherland is also an author and counselor, who was born on 20 November 1970 in Durban.
She reportedly has two sons with former husband Steve Hofmeyr who is a popular Afrikaans musician, the two married in 1998 and divorced in 2008.
FROM ‘KIDEO’ TO ‘SCANDAL!’
The actress began her career in the entertainment industry in the early 1990s as a presenter on SABC1’s children’s show Kideo. Then starred in the soapie Egoli: The Place of Gold as Sam Ryan for six seasons during her teen years in 1991.
The author and motivational speaker has been on e.tv’s Scandal! From season one as Layla McKenzie where she recently scored a SAFTA for her supporting role.

OTHER TV ROLES
She also appeared in the TV show Honeytown and Tarzan: The Epic Adventures in 1996, then starred in the movie Operational Delta in 1997. The mother of two also scored a role in Lioness season one, The Wild as Rosie Waxman, and Zero Tolerance season two as Megan.
Sutherland also acted in several stage plays such as Gigi in 1992 and The Revlon Girl .

The multi-star is also a public motivational speaker who travelled across the country as well as international stages and a prolific author, who has written books such as Bittersweet, Green, and Blue in 2010 (her first children’s book), Fairytale and Sprokie.
