When is Kaizer Chiefs next match and how will the break affect their momentum?
Kaizer Chiefs are sixth in the Betway Premiership table. Nabi's men are not in action for the next three weeks.
Kaizer Chiefs have had a positive start to the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season, winning two out of the three matches played.
For the new season, Amakhosi brought in Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi, who seems to be getting the best out of the players. The club also brought in seven new players who have fitted into the coach’s system. Gaston Sirino, Rushwin Dortely, Inacio Miguel, Fiacre Ntwari and Bradley Cross have all been involved in all three Kaizer Chiefs games.
Having defeated Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu in their opening two rounds, Amakhosi tested themselves against Mamelodi Sundowns this past weekend. Nabi’s sight matched the Brazilians for the most part but ended up going down 2-1 in the end.
When are Kaizer Chiefs playing their next game?
Chiefs travel to Polokwane to face SuperSport United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on 26 October. The game will come nearly a month after their Downs clash which could affect their momentum. The Glamour Boys have scored six goals in three games and looked settled especially in the midfield and attack. A lengthy break could affect their momentum especially when the players were finding tune early in the season.
After the Matsatsantsa match, Kaizer Chiefs will then play Magesi FC four days later. So far, Amakhosi are six on the log, having won two and lost one game. Last season the club finished 10th in the league, which was their worst finish since the inception of the PSL.
Can Amakhosi bounce back?
