Award-winning rapper K.O released his hit single, Sete, featuring Blxckie and amapiano star Young Stunna on 19 August. Since its release, the track has received high praise from South Africans and has quickly become one of the best songs of 2022. 

Taking to Twitter on 26 September, K.O shared that he thought his hip-hop track, Caracara would’ve been his biggest moment in music. Sete has since proved him wrong…

‘SETE’ IS K.O’S BIGGEST SINGLE! 

K.O has cemented himself as one of the most consistent rappers in Mzansi. His single, Sete, features part of his 2022 album, SR3. The track is a fusion of hip-hop and amapiano featuring Blxckie and Young Stunna, two of South Africa’s artists who have also proven that they are a force to be reckoned with. 

In a tweet, K.O celebrated Sete’s achievements since its release adding that he thought Caracara would’ve been his biggest moment. 

Sete number one across all platforms and radio at the same time, crossed double platinum on Saturday! Most viral SA TikTok with no challenge? Video 5 [million] in 3 weeks!? SR3 sitting at number one. When the blessings rain they pour,” he wrote. 

TWEEPS ARE STILL LOVING ‘SETE’

K.O’s heartwarming tweet garnered some warm reactions from his Twitter fans. Tweeps did not hesitate to express that they were proud of the rapper for his success. 

“We are also not going to ignore the fact that you snatcked 2022 with Sete,” wrote one tweep. 

“I watch this every time I come across it. Making a hit song is not an easy thing to do, doing it after so many years being in the game after so many generations is close to impossible. I’m so proud of this guy,” wrote another tweep. 

“Congratulations, Summer 2022 is yours man.”

K.O ON WORKING BLXCKIE AND YOUNG STUNNA

Speaking to City Press, K.O said his relationship with Blxckie and Young Stunna only began earlier this year. 

“After both encounters, you know, they were amazing, honourable young men, who also just not only just saw me as an elder, but they also saw a great talent and understanding my journey as well. So, the respect was mutual.”
