There has been widespread speculation that Queen Elizabeth !! was an Arsenal supporter. Jeremy Corbyn once said in a speech: ‘Now, we know the Queen is absolutely above politics. She may be above football, too, but many locals harbour this quite secret view that she’s actually, privately, a Gooner.’

Arsenal pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

The platers came out for the second half last night against FC Zurich wearing black armbands, while the whole stadium played their part in a minute of silence after the news of Queen Elizabeth II’s death emerged. Arsenal fans chanted the national anthem too.
