The Pakistan Strike Force training camp, under the coaching of former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, begins today at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. This initiative is taken place to develop in the players the hard-hitting and modern-day batting capabilities among the domestic and international levels.

It would be held from January 14 to 30 at the NCA in Lahore and a second leg would be held at the Multan Cricket Stadium from February 1 to 28. The Strike Force program is designed to continue throughout the year, where elite and emerging players are periodically invited into it.

Razzaq is supported by former Test cricketer Humayun Farhat and ex-first-class player Kamran Sajid. The experienced coaching team will mentor 25 players in performing under pressure, building core strength, and balancing aggression with restraint in high-stakes cricket. With the intensive demands of modern-day cricket in mind, players will be closely monitored and specially trained to meet up to the challenge.

This camp is very important in a bid to strengthen the batting bench for not only the national team but also the domestic ones, with the coming up of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, two ICC T20 World Cups, an ICC Cricket World Cup, and numerous bilateral white-ball series for Pakistan until 2028.

Seven Pakistan-capped players are attending this year’s edition of the Strike Force camp, named as Haider Ali, Jahandad Khan, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mubasir Khan, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Usman Khan.
