Alleged arsonist and murderer WANTED by police

An alleged arsonist and murderer has been placed on a wanted list after being linked to a number of brazen residential crimes in Gauteng.

THE ALLEGED ARSONIST BROKE INTO PEOPLE’S HOMES

In a statement, the police in Gauteng have requested the public to assist them in locating Sentious Novans who is suspected to be involved in multiple cases of arson, murder and burglary residential that had occurred in the East and North parts of Johannesburg in the previous months.

THE MODUS OPERANDI USED BY THE WANTED SUSPECT

“In all the incidents, the suspect will break in at affluent houses and after stealing property set the houses alight.”

Police have urged anyone with positive information that can lead to the arrest of Novans to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Magongoa on 071 351 4189 or Lieutenant Colonel Prowse on 079 498 2435. The Crime Stop Line can also be contacted on 08600 10111, alternatively, anonymous tip-offs can be reported via the My SAPS App.

Meanwhile, police in Northern Cape also released an identikit of a wanted suspect for rape.

Spokesperson for the police Lieutenant Colonel Sergio Kock said that the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit are seeking assistance in tracing a person of interest in an alleged Batlharos rape case.

The complainant described one of the suspects as being 1.55m in height, between 22 and 29 years old, dark in complexion, slender and wearing a black hoodie.
