Best in SA! Five players Chiefs SHOULD sign in January
The pressure does not take long to heat up. Kaizer Chiefs fans are already demanding better talent. Here are five players to sign.
It’s not ridiculous to look at the best talent Kaizer Chiefs should target. The club has a wealth of sponsorship deals that pump millions into the club every single month.

AMBITION MUST MATCH INTENTION
Whatever gets said in the media by management and coaching staff, we all know what the ambition is, Amakhosi want to be the best team on the land.
This is the throne the club once owned for several decades, and the responsibility of management has been to reclaim it.
To be the best club, i.e, better than Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, Chiefs have to show better aggression in the transfer market.

Having one great player in a certain position is not enough to conquer Mzansi or the continent, world football has proved that the best team have three top players in every position.
5 PLAYERS KAIZER CHIEFS SHOULD SIGN IN JANUARY
With the financial potential, Chiefs should be finding the best players and simply asking “how much?”
Here are five talents to go for:
- Travis Graham, 29, central midfielder, Maritzburg United.
A dynamic, box-to-box, and ultra-professional athlete that captained Ajax Cape Town as a teenager. Would offer healthy competition for the likes Yusuf Maart and Njabulo Blom.
- Grant Margeman, 24, central midfielder, on loan at SuperSport United from Sundowns
The thing with Arthur Zwane’s options in the number eight role is players that lack direct football. Margeman attacks the goal. The Ajax Cape Town graduate already has two goals in nine games.
- Kanyisile Mayo, 23, winger, Cape Town
The new Bafana Bafana international already has two goals and three assists in nine games. This guy is a winger. Should we say more?
- Pule Mmodi, 29, winger, Golden Arrows
Another goal-poaching wide attacker with goals in him. Mmodi, who was so close to joining Chiefs before this season, has smashed in four goals and one assist in 10 games.
- Bradley Grobler, 34, striker, SuperSport United.
Five goals and one assist in 10 games is a slow start for a man of Grobler’s class and experience. Imagine his five goals added to Caleb’s six goals for Amakhosi, four of which have been penalty conversions.
Special mention: Maritzburg United’s attacking midfielder Kimvuidi Keikie Karim, 20, has dazzled. One of the big clubs should move quickly before he goes abroad.
