The International Cricket Council unveiled a new graphic identity for the men’s and women’s Champions Trophy, which returns after six years.
In a premiere film, the ICC revealed a new identity with an unorthodox typographic logo and design elements inspired by cricket’s unique language and culture.
The video features the Pakistani ICC Champions Trophy 2025 logo. “The newly created visual identity is a digital-first vibrant expression, deliberately challenging the status quo, with an unconventional typographic logo which sets the tone for the look – bold and loud, confident and fun,” said ICC.
“It has been designed to be agile, distinctive, and expressive, inspired by cricket’s language—from the unique and integral words that describe the game to the shouts when a wicket falls to the superstars’ names on their kit backs. The brand celebrates the sport’s verbal and written language, the announcement said. It includes Pakistan’s iconic truck art to celebrate its cultural heritage before hosting the men’s event in 2025.
The first men’s ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan since 2017 will be held next year. The T20 women’s Champions Trophy will debut in 2027 in Sri Lanka. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) requested explanations for the BCCI’s refusal to send its squad to the host country, putting the premier cricketing body in a “catch-22” situation.
Sources said the PCB will never play against India in the Champions Trophy if India refuses to send its cricket team to Pakistan and the ICC approves this. Despite Indian media suggestions that the ICC may shift the tournament outside of Pakistan, sources denied this.
