Not a number nine

A lack of strikers in the squad has forced Billiat to play as a nine. The result is only one assist in seven games.

Needs a traditional number nine

The poor start to the season has confirmed that Billiat is truly a number 10 behind an outright centre forward like Leonardo Castro, Samir Nurkovic, and hopefully the new teammate Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana.

NEW AMAKHOSI STARS RATINGS AFTER AUGUST

So Chiefs are not short of new faces, from defence, and midfield to attack.

As we’ve all followed the big narrative, Amakhosi famously released no less than 13 players in the current window, and with the ambition to build a younger and more talented squad.

Following the large exit of 13 players that included surprise names like Samir Nurkovic, Leonardo Castro, Kearyn Baccus, Dumisani Zuma, and Lebogang Manyama, nine new players have been introduced to the club.

Of the nine new faces, one of them, Kamohelo Mahlatsi was forced by injury to start training in late July, while Edmilson Dove and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana only joined two weeks ago. Read the full story here.
