A South African TikToker has shared his hilarious advice on how to survive December’s festivities on a budget of just R300.

On TikTok, spoof account The People’s Engineer shared “proof” of how South Africans could still enjoy December with a budget of R300.

The “edutainment” account called on its followers to identify “danger” dates like public holidays, 16 December, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.

The TikToker claimed that South Africans could spend R100 per day. He hilariously went on to practise “Mzansi math”, revealing how this was possible.

“On the 1st of January, you will release that you survived,” he joked.
