Police act on intelligence

Police moved in after receiving intelligence that the suspects were hiding in a two-room shack in Amatikwe.

Officers went to the location to arrest the men.

When police arrived, the suspects opened fire, triggering a shootout. Police returned fire, fatally wounding all four suspects at the scene.

Police found four pistols and several rounds of ammunition in the suspects’ possession.

No police officers were injured during the shootout.
