German far-right party sues spy agency over ‘extremist’ label
The anti-immigration Alternative for Germany (AfD) party on Monday sued the domestic intelligence service for classifying it as a right-wing extremist organization, a decision that subjects it to greater surveillance from authorities. The spy agency considers AfD as “anti-constitutional” due to the fact that the party does not recognise equality between German citizens, FRANCE 24's Nick Holdsworth said, reporting from Berlin.
