Good News: Orlando Pirates and Monnapule Saleng
Orlando Pirates supporters are excited and releaved this weekend. Monnapule Saleng looks set to return for the Sea Robbers.

Monnapule Saleng’s career at Orlando Pirates is not over yet after all.
MONNAPULE SALENG SPOTTED WITH ORLANDO PIRATES
After a messy contractual dispute that saw the 26-year-old winger frozen out of the team since December 2024, the Bloemhof-born star is back with the Orlando Pirates first team. Soon before meeting Marumo Gallants in the Nedbank Cup semifinals on Sunday, Saleng was spotted doing a gym session with the squad on Saturday morning.
The image strongly suggests that Saleng and Orlando Pirates have ironed out their contractual dispute. Saleng could possibly feature on Sunday against Gallants.
ORLANDO PIRATES VS MARUMO GALLANTS IN THE NEDBANK CUP
After beating the Sea Robbers 2-0 in the league in recent weeks, Gallants’ Moroccan coach Abdeslam Ouaddou says there are no small teams in the semifinal stages of a tournament.
”It’s a big challenge for us, but we know that we had a great performance a few weeks ago,” Ouaddou told SABC Sport. “But it is another game and we are prepared for that. We go there with an ambition to go through. When teams get to the semi-finals, then there are no more small teams, everybody has to respect every team,” said Ouaddou.
”It is a big challenge, it won’t be easy – every weekend comes with a big challenge. For us this is a final, before the big final, we have a lot to play for,” added Ouaddou.
