Russian Premier League side Lokomotiv Moscow have sacked Josef Zinnbauer of his coaching duties just a week after Fadlu Davids arrived at the club!

The club confirmed on Saturday that Zinnbauer and sporting director Thomas Zorn will be leaving after their 4-0 defeat against Sochi.

Josef Zinnbauer coach Orlando Pirates 68 times

Zinnbauer previously coached Orlando Pirates in 68 matches between December 2019 and August 2021.

There was no official word of Davids’ future at the club, although it appears highly unlikely that he will stay on as he was brought in by Zinnbauer.

The loss to rivals Sochi left Lokomotiv Moscow in 14th position in the 16-team log with just two wins, three draws and seven defeats from 12 matches this season.
