Kaizer Chiefs releasing FOUR players to sign several stars

Kaizer Chiefs will reportedly release several players.

Following seven signings in the winter, including Gastón Sirino and Bradley Cross, AmaKhosi hopes to bring in more talent in the January transfer window, but will have to free up cash flow in order to do so.

In other words, release four players.

Chiefs are linked with an array of talent, from Feisal Salum to Asanele Velebayi, but a big spending spree in the off season mean’s they will have to let players go to sign the talent they want

Who’s getting the boot?

Zitha Kwinika, Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Christian Saile have yet to make the 18-man squad and will likely be the first crop of players asked to leave.

Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is another player on the verge of being expelled – he made the bench for the first time this season against Magesi but didn’t get on the pitch.

Nabi’s summer transfer wishes

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has been vocal about his desire for more attacking players, telling FARPost, “Our squad has a lot of quality players. But I don’t think this is going to be the final squad. We are working on getting new players,”

“A big club like Kaizer Chiefs needs a high level of quality in all lines: in defence, middle and attack. You know it’s easier to look for a defender than a striker.

“If you need top players, you need to take your time. We continue with my staff and the committee to look for players,” he added.

“So, you would need time to work hard to profile players. We work together to profile players in defence as I don’t have this opportunity for attack.

“We will continue with my staff committee to look. I need the strikers, and maybe if we have the wingers.”
