On Wednesday, Caleb netted his third goal of the season as Chiefs beat Swallows FC 2-1 to move up to fifth on the log. Keagan Dolly scored the other.
In so doing, Caleb shot into the top four of the DStv Premiership goalscoring charts with three goals in the four league games he has played so far.

The Burundi international netted twice on his full debut for Chiefs, and this was in the 2-1 win over SuperSport United over a week ago.
In fact, Caleb has netted in two successive league matches if one recalls that last weekend’s match against AmaZulu, where he didn’t score, was an MTN8 match.

Now, Caleb is three goals behind leader Peter Shalulile who has netted six goals while he’s a goal shy of both Bradley Grobler and Pule Mmodi who are on four goals.

Those who followed the story of Caleb to Chiefs will know how this relationship was nearly marred by controversy around the striker’s comments.

Caleb arrived at Naturena for trials in the off-season. He was supposed to spend two weeks but his trial stint was extended by a further week.
And when Chiefs took time to make a decision on whether or not to sign him, Caleb ran to the media and blasted the Soweto giants, labeling them unprofessional.

However, those comments were followed by that important email, letting Caleb know that he had passed his trial and will, therefore, be given a contract.
Of course, Caleb had already given on playing for Chiefs let alone plying his trade in South Africa but he couldn’t resist the offer presented to him.
The two parties then smoked the peace pipe upon Caleb’s arrival, and as they always say, the rest is history as the lanky marksman is now the main man in attack for Chiefs.
