Kaizer Chiefs’ transfer window: New bid potentially on the table

Kaizer Chiefs are gearing up to make an improved bid for key target while actively pursuing others too in this transfer window.

Kaizer Chiefs’ transfer window: New bid potentially on the table

Kaizer Chiefs’ transfer window update, as a new bid is potential on the table for one of their targets.

Chiefs have already made seven signings this transfer window, focusing heavily on strengthening their defence. Despite these additions, several key targets remain on the market, with the club actively seeking attackers to complete their squad.

So far, Kaizer Chiefs have significantly bolstered their defensive line-up. They secured Bongani Sam from Orlando Pirates, adding depth to their squad. The defensive reinforcements continued with Rushwin Dortley from Cape Town Spurs and Fiacre Ntwari from TS Galaxy. Gaston Sirino, Inacio Miguel, Bradley Cross, and Njabulo Blom also joined the team, further solidifying the defence.

Chiefs eyeing attacking talent: Who’s on radar?

With the defensive positions covered, Chiefs now focus on attacking reinforcements. The club initially missed out on targets Elias Mokwana and Khanyisa Mayo but is now turning its attention to Oswin Appollis. Although it was believed that the Polokwane City star might head to Algeria, that move has yet to materialise, giving Amakhosi a potential opportunity to secure his signature.

Kaizer Chiefs are also determined to sign Asanele Velebayi from Cape Town Spurs. The transfer saga involving Velebayi has been protracted, with Chiefs reportedly offered a R12 million price tag for the 21-year-old. Although Chiefs initially hesitated and faced accusations of improperly approaching Velebayi’s family, Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jnr clarified these issues.

Recent developments include Spurs selling players Ashley Cupido and Chumani Butsaka to Stellenbosch FC, which could open the door for Velebayi’s transfer. Velebayi’s recent social media activity, including a repost of former teammate Dortley’s Instagram post, has sparked speculation. While some believe it’s merely a show of support, others think it might be a subtle push for a move to Chiefs.

Velebayi to Chiefs latest

Kaizer Chiefs are actively preparing to present a new and improved offer for Asanele Velebayi. A close source has confirmed that the club is making significant efforts to finalise a more competitive bid, aiming to secure the Cape Town Spurs star’s signature and bolster their squad for the upcoming season.

“Chiefs are getting ready to submit a new and improved offer for Asa (Asanele Velebayi).” The latest bid aims to persuade the Cape Town Spurs hierarchy to accept the deal, potentially concluding the lengthy transfer saga.
