While all six participating teams have already revealed their pre-auction picks, they would now have to choose wisely at the main event to get the balance of the side right.

Proteas Test skipper Dean Elgar failed to attract any offers at his base price of R175 000.

In contrast, Proteas speedster Marco Jansen’s twin brother Duan was snapped up by MI Cape Town for R3.3 million.

Each SA20 franchise will be allowed a maximum of 17 players in their squad, 10 of which must be South African and a limit of 7 overseas players.

The six participating teams are MI Cape Town, Durban Super Giants, Johannesburg Super Kings, Paarl Royals, Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
