Nabi on Nedbank Cup glory for Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs do not have the squad quality and depth, but coach Nasreddine Nabi is still hoping to lift the Nedbank Cup trophy.

Nabi on Nedbank Cup glory for Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has a massive opportunity to delight Amakhosi fans with Nedbank Cup glory this season.

DREAM TO WIN THE NEDBANK CUP

Amakhosi are two matches away from their first trophy in 10 years.

Before thinking about the final, first up are Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-finals on Sunday.

The game will kick off at 18:00 at Loftus Versfeld.

“For this game [Sundowns], I’m not thinking about myself, I think about the fans, the club and our players,” Nabi said via FARPost.

“This is a big opportunity for us to write new history for the team,” the Kaizer Chiefs mentor added.

“We have a chance, why not qualify for the final and win this cup? It’s been a long time since the club won a trophy, so as I said, it’s a big opportunity to write a new history for the team.”

As far as the team news, Amakhosi duo Thabo Cele and Inacio Miguel are facing late fitness tests before kick-off.

If the Glamour Boys are knocked out of the tournament later today, will that spell another nail in the coffin of Nabi at Naturena?

Or will he walk way?
