Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, imitated the renowned “Siu” celebration of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in order to commemorate a successful penalty kick against IShowSpeed of YouTube.
NFL standout Patrick Mahomes honours Cristiano Ronaldo
During a casual match, Mahomes, 28, demonstrated his “other” football abilities by passing the ball into the right-hand corner of the ground and mocking the 19-year-old Ronaldo superfan with a “Siu” celebration.
“Do you realise that’s your Ronaldo?” he inquired as he clenched his goal.
Daily Mail reported that the three-time National Football League (NFL) Super Bowl champion and his wife Brittany are minority investors in women’s soccer club the KC Current.
Tennis professional Novak Djokovic and Milwaukee Bucks sensation Gianni Antetokounmpo are two additional athletes whose signature celebrations honour the Portuguese footballer.
Since 2013, when he was a member of Real Madrid, Ronaldo, 39, has performed this celebration. He has since carried it with him to Al Nassr, a club in Saudi Arabia, Juventus, and Manchester United.
Earlier this week, the Kansas City Chiefs star was spotted at the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Draft.
Donning a custom-made wrestling belt, he arrived at the Kansas City event alongside wrestler and YouTuber Logan Paul and other villain superstars.
Following the organisation of a charity gala in Las Vegas over the weekend, where his friend and teammate Travis Kelce was also in attendance, he made his WWE Draft appearance.
