Mark Pilgrim shares cancer diagnoses update
In early March this year, Mark Pilgrim shared the devastating news that his cancer had returned. In 1989, the radio personality suffered from stage four testicular cancer but managed to fight it off.
33 years later and cancer is “knocking on his door again,” Pilgrim revealed in a heartbreaking tweet while adding that he was feeling “scared but also strong”.
Months later and he shared another health update as well as a photo of himself undergoing treatment for his legs and spine.
In a heartwarming post, he revealed that he was doing radiation treatment. He also thanked his wife for supporting him wholeheartedly through this trying time.
“I’m simply ‘radiating’ today! And just like that, in just 45 minutes, the tumours in the leg and spine are hopefully gone. The journey continues and different protocols apply for my lungs and lymph nodes (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hopefully soon: targeted therapy). Thanks to everyone for the continued thoughts and prayers. To my doctors who are so caring and optimistic, I’m eternally grateful. To my Adrienne, thank you for your love and patience. It’s not easy,” he wrote.

The post was well received by his supportive fans who had nothing but well wishes for him and his family.
