Putin agrees to direct talks with Ukraine, Zelensky wants ceasefire first
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday said he expects Moscow to commit to a 30-day ceasefire starting on Monday and that Kyiv was “ready” for direct talks with Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin had earlier agreed to hold talks with Kyiv in Istanbul on May 15 hours after European leaders met in Kyiv.
