Pakistan qualifies for Women’s semi-finals after India beats Nepal
India defeated Nepal by 82 runs at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Tuesday to advance Pakistan’s women’s cricket team to the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup semi-finals. India’s 178/3 in 20 overs put them in a good position to reach the final four. Bowlers restricted Nepal to 96/9. India defeated Pakistan and UAE before. The Girls in Green won a must-win match against UAE by 10 wickets earlier today.
Pakistan accomplished the 104-run mark in 14.1 overs without losing a wicket thanks to Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali. Muneeba scored 37 runs on 30 balls with four boundaries while Feroza scored 62 off 55 balls with eight fours. Pakistan also became the first Women’s T20 Asia Cup squad to win by 10 wickets. The UAE ladies lost wickets frequently after being asked to bat first.
Only Khushi Sharma (12 off 13) scored in double digits for UAE, behind skipper Esha Oza (16 off 26) and Theertha Satish (40 off 36). Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sandhu, and Tuba Hassan claimed two wickets each for Pakistan, while skipper Nida Dar took one.
