On Friday, the sixth Twenty20 International was contested between Pakistan and Pakistan at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Babar Azam produced a captain’s knock to enable Pakistan to set a respectable 170-run target.
After being allowed to bowl first, England chose to bowl first and got off to a great start by quickly dismissing Mohammad Haris and Shan Masood, both of whom were making their batting debuts. Despite this, Babar remained tall, hitting 87 runs off 59 balls to assist the Green Shirts in reaching 170.
Iftikhar Ahmed amassed 31 runs off 21 balls, while Haider Ali chipped in with 18 of his own. David Willey and Sam Curran grabbed two wickets for England, and Richard Gleeson and Reece Topley each got one.
