1.Extreme high fire danger conditions expected over the western parts of North-West Province, Kamiesberg LM and John Taolo Gaetsewe DM of the Northern Cape, the central and northern parts of the Free State as well as the northern parts of Limpopo.

Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and warm.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot but very hot in the Lowveld. It will become partly cloudy in the late afternoon.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot. It will become partly cloudy in the Western Bushveld later.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and hot.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fog patches in the western parts, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but partly cloud in the south-east at first.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Misty over the interior at first, otherwise fine and warm.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate westerly to south-westerly along the south coast at first, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half –Misty over the interior at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, becoming fine in the north by the afternoon.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly.

The Eastern half -Misty over the interior at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but cloudy with morning rain along the Wild Coast.

The Eastern half -The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog patches in places over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but cool in the south. Isolated showers and rain are expected in the south and east where it will be cloudy.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly, but moderate north-easterly in the north.
