Temperature and UVB forecast
Gauteng:
Temperature: Fine and warm but hot in the north.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, but very hot to extremely hot over the Lowveld.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Fine and hot, but very hot in places over the extreme south-eastern parts.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.
Free State:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Fine, windy and cool, but warm over the north-eastern interior, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon and cloudy in the west from evening.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy and cold to cool with light rain and isolated to scattered showers over the south-west and south coast.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable north of Cape Columbine in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh-westerly to south-westerly reaching strong at times in places.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half –Partly cloudy and cool, becoming cloudy with light rain and showers along the coast and adjacent interior in the afternoon, spreading to the south eastern interior in the evening, but scattered along the coast.
The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong westerly, becoming south-westerly in the afternoon, moderating in the evening.
The Eastern half -Cloudy along the Wild coast and adjacent interior with light rain in places, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, becoming cloudy in the evening with isolated showers and thundershowers.
The Eastern half -The wind along the coast will be Moderate north-westerly along the Wild coast at first, otherwise fresh to strong south-westerly, moderating in the afternoon, becoming southerly in the evening.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east with morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise fine and warm but hot in places in the north. It will become cloudy over the south-east in the afternoon where isolated showers and rain are expected.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly in the south at first, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
