REVEALED : Why Keagan Dolly missed Kaizer Chiefs reunion!

Kaizer Chiefs dropped points yet again after 1-1 draw against TS Galaxy in the Betway Premiership on Monday.

Chiefs relied on a late Ranga Chivaviro equaliser to secure a point during stoppage at the Mbombela Stadium.

That result sees Chiefs remain in ninth on the log, having won just three from nine games thus far. So far, the season has not shown as much promise as the Amakhosi faithful had hoped it would. When new coach Nasreddine Nabi arrived at the club, there was hope for a change of fortunes. Ahead of his arrival, the club released a few senior players that they deemed surplus to requirements.

Chiefs released Dolly

Keagan Dolly, Sifiso Hlanti, Siyethemba Sithebe, Njabulo Ngcobo and Jasond Gonzalez were those players. After leaving Chiefs Dolly went for trials at SuperSport United twice, and did not impress coach Gavin Hunt. He would eventually get an opportunity with Galaxy who signed him last month. On Monday, however, he missed the reunion against his former team. According to Soccer-Laduma, his absence was due to injury.

Why he was missing for Galaxy

“Speculation around his omission was rife until further investigation by the Siya crew revealed that Dolly is nursing a suspected hamstring injury. While the injury is understood not to be serious, it has kept him out of action for the time being. It’s believed that the injury was a precautionary measure, and the club opted not to risk his fitness for the encounter against Chiefs. Despite the setback, Dolly’s condition is not a major concern, with reports suggesting that he is expected to make a swift recovery and rejoin the team in the near future. The attacker’s return to full fitness is eagerly awaited, as his experience and creativity could prove vital in TS Galaxy’s upcoming fixtures.” Wrote the publication.

Chiefs fans, do you feel as if Dolly would’ve caused more damage had he played yesterday? Or is he already past the stage of being a threat?
