‘She lost her father’: Lady Du defends Kairo Forbes

Amapiano star Lady Du jumped to the defence of nine-year-old Kairo Forbes after social media users complained about her advertising gig with Ackermans.

LADY DU DEFENDS KAIRO FORBES

Kairo Forbes, the daughter of slain rapper AKA and DJ Zinhle, bagged an advertising deal with Ackermans. However, some social media users complained, claiming that there are other kids who deserve those opportunities. Take a look…

“We need to be honest about Kairo, why is she getting to be on every (advert). First it was Nedbank now it’s Ackermans yet she has rich parents and got enough of everything. While many underprivileged children are poor and not recognised. Black South Africans kids also deserve this life,” wrote @joy_zelda.

LADY DU: ‘JUST LEAVE THE KIDS OUT OF IT’

Amapiano star Lady Du has since jumped to Kairo’s defence saying that she had already lost her father. Rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on 10 February 2023.

Lady Du went on to ask X users to stop bullying kids.

“This child has been through enough already!!!! She lost her father, she’s trying so hard to cope you can see it. If Ackermans wants to choose Kairo who are we to even want them to chose someone else. How do you to go to someone’s business and tell them what to do. Stop making kids trend!!!!!! They get bullied in schools they see your posts. Thina fine bully us as much as you want!!!! Leave the kids alone!!!!!!!! You can bully me ke just leave the kids out of it. What generation is this kanti. Kids are off limits,” she wrote.
