Two rising football stars ‘Roc’ for South Africa
The impact of two rising stars in South African football has been particularly noteworthy as they continue to make key career moves.

Earlier this week there was plenty of reason to celebrate as South Africa claimed an important 4-3 win over Egypt in their Group B opener at the CAF U17 Afcon football tournament.
In the midst of an impressive overall performance, Emile Witbooi – who was Man of the Match – and Neo Bohloko – who converted two penalties – certainly came in for high praise.
Witbooi is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young talents to have come through the South African youth ranks in quite some time, and there is little doubt that he has an incredibly bright future ahead of him.
The same can be said of Kaizer Chiefs starlet, Neo Bohloko, who has the football world at his feet and has the ability to reach incredible heights – especially if he is well managed.
With this in mind, it’s certainly worth noting that both players have linked up with renowned global agency Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI), which has a host of incredible footballers on its books, from youth level through to top-tier professional talent such as Kevin De Bruyne and Vini Jr.

Earlier this year, RNSI officially announced the singing of Witbooi, with the 16-year-old’s natural talent, work ethic and playmaking ability having captured the attention of scouts and fans alike.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Emile to the Roc Nation Sports International family,” said Nathan Campbell, Roc Nation Sports’ Global Director of Football, who recently spent time in South Africa.
“He is an exceptional young player with immense potential, and his standout performances at various levels of the game have understandably already earned him widespread recognition. We are committed to supporting him in achieving his goals and helping him reach the highest levels of the game.”
It’s also become widely understood that Bohloko has also signed with the agency, and his rapid progression is another cause for real excitement.
Part of the focus will now revolve around ensuring these two youngsters are given all the necessary support and guidance on and off the field to fulfil their prodigious talents.
“It’s important to get in at a younger age and support them with that and try and create a team around them to maximise their potential,” Campbell added during an interview earlier this year. “When you are working with young players, they are never the finished article, no matter how good they are.
“So you have to support them outside of the club environment, because if their talent is there, then their physical ability can match that talent.”
RNSI president Michael Yormark added: “This is not about commissions and transfer fees. It’s about impacting the lives of these kids, giving them hope to develop a career in the sport, and ultimately allow them to move on to Europe and have great journeys.
“We want to support them on and off the pitch, supporting the people that are part of their sphere of influence, their families. Roc Nation is a family and everyone we sign we welcome into our family.”
