Kaizer Chiefs were on Saturday awarded a penalty in their league game against AmaZulu which ended in a 0-0 draw.

Kgaogelo Sekgota did well to win the Glamour Boys the penalty in the first half but Dillan Solomons failed to convert as he drilled the spot-kick wide.

Now, according to OptaJabu, Chiefs are now the team with the most penalties awarded to them (3) so far this season.

AS IT HAPPENED | KAIZER CHIEFS VS AMAZULU

Interestingly, they have managed to score just one of the three penalties awarded to them, and this was against Richards Bay FC in Durban.

Ironically, Solomons, the man who missed against AmaZulu, scored the said penalty in that 1-0 win over Richards Bay FC.

The other penalty was taken by Khama Billiat when Chiefs lost 4-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns – the former Warriors man was denied by Ronwen Williams.

Furthermore, the two missed penalties by Chiefs mean they have now equalled the number of penalties they missed the whole of last season.
