Kaizer Chiefs trio to miss Nedbank Cup clash against Sundowns?

Kaizer Chiefs could risk losing at least three players ahead of their Nedbank Cup semi-final clash with Mamelodi Sundowns next weekend.

Amakhosi will play TS Galaxy at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening with several players who have three yellow cards. Inacio Miguel, Mduduzi Shabalala, and Pule Mmodi could miss the Nedbank Cup encounter should they get booked on Saturday

Kaizer Chiefs face tricky situation ahead of Nedbank Cup semi-final

With Chiefs losing back-to-back matches in the league, they can’t afford to bench Miguel or Shabalala against Galaxy. Nasreddine Nabi needs a win to solidify a top-eight finish, so if he benches Mmodi and Mdu, he will more likely play a similar team which lost to Golden Arrows.

In terms of Nabi’s future, the Nedbank Cup is more important. If he benches the trio, then he has more options against Sundowns next weekend.

If he risks the three players against the Rockets, one or two of them might miss Kaizer Chiefs’ Nedbank Cup clash at Loftus Versfeld. A tough decision to make, but a safe option would be to start with Miguel and sub him off at half time. Mmodi and Shabalala might very well come off from the bench if the team is chasing the game.

Who should Nabi start with against Galaxy?
