Pakistan’s interior minister, Mohsin Naqvi, chairs the PCB, raising fears of political favouritism and incompetence. Cricket legend Khan, who led Pakistan to the 1992 World Cup, blasted the PCB for being led by “favourites” without sports experience. Some feel he handpicked board leadership during his prime ministership, causing current problems.
