The $3.39 ALDI Find I Wish I Had Tried Sooner
Get ALDI's latest seasonal find while it lasts. It's versatile and has just enough zip to make things interesting.
Dips and sauces can be the star of mealtime. A good sauce can take any dish from ho-hum to yum yum. And when you have picky kids, they allow for simpler meal options that adults can easily customize to still feel exciting.
So when I saw that this Park Street Deli Pineapple Jalapeño Dip was part of ALDI's latest finds, I knew it would be the perfect dinnertime upgrade. A 10-ounce container of this thick and creamy dip goes for $3.39, and while the Pineapple Jalapeño was my top pick, there's also the Sweet Chili Mango option for another sweet heat flavor combination. Either way, consider it an express ticket to dinnertime deliciousness.
Why I Love ALDI's Park Street Deli Pineapple Jalapeño Dip
The magic of this dip lies in its unique blend of flavors. The tropical sweetness of the pineapple comes first; then, the jalapeño kicks in with a gentle warmth that doesn't overwhelm but makes its presence known. I love that it's not fiery but has just enough zip to keep things interesting.
Leaning more on the sweet side, it might sound like a strange choice for a dip, but the distinct heat and subtle tang balance it well and make it more versatile than you might expect.
How I Use Park Street Deli Pineapple Jalapeño Dip
I've already enjoyed it as a spread on a leveled-up chicken sandwich (It's very delicious, I might add). My husband and I happily dipped tortilla chips, crackers, and veggies into it, and it would make a fun addition to a cheese board or snack plate.
Sold as a dip, it's best to think of it as a quality flavor enhancer and a star of quick meal upgrades. For example, this week, I plan to use it to add some sweet heat to carnitas tacos. I think it will be my favorite meal of the week with thinly sliced cabbage, onion, cilantro, and maybe even some of ALDI's Pineapple Salsa.
I can also see it being a new favorite add-on to grilled burgers or transformed into a zesty coleslaw dressing with a mix of oil and vinegar. While this might be a polarizing suggestion, as a member of "camp pineapple" on pizza, I'm most excited to try it as a base for our homemade 'za. Spread on the crust and topped with shredded chicken, grilled peppers and onions, mozzarella, and maybe some more jalapeños, it'll be a fresh twist on a Hawaiian-ish pizza.
If you're looking for a condiment that can transform ordinary dishes into more extraordinary meals, head to ALDI and grab this dip before it's gone.
