Uyajola 9/9 host Jub Jub is making headlines after it was confirmed that he has resigned from Moja Love.

JUB JUB QUITS UYAJOLA 9/9

Several news outlets have reportedly confirmed his resignation. However, the news first made rounds online last week.

A few days ago, Sunday World reported that Jub Jub had tendered his resignation after complaining of verbal and emotional abuse from the channel’s chief executive officer, Aubrey Tau.

Leaked emails have been making rounds online.

“After careful consideration, the reasons for my resignation are as follows: The verbal and emotional abuse in the work environment from the CEO himself. Continuous threats about losing my job,” reads the letter.

However, Jub Jub also mentioned how the station treated him like a sewer rat.

The celebrated host made it known that he informed the channel about his working conditions and environment, which made his life at the channel a living hell, but nothing was addressed.

“Breach of contract. Unstable working environment (team changing, plans changing, last-minute changes which have affected my creativity over the years).

Uyajola 9/9 has lost its DNA (authenticity), and that will result in loss of viewership, which I have spoken about multiple times,” Jub Jub said.

However, the muso also went on to reveal that the station labelled him a ‘rapist’ ‘when no one had proof.’

“With all of this, I have concluded that it is in my best interest to immediately step down from my role,” he stated.

AUBREY TAU HITS BACK

According to Sunday World, Moja Love, CEO, accepted Jub Jub’s resignation. However, he addressed a string of Jub Jub’s concerns as he set the record straight.

Moja Love, CEO, accused the muso of being “ungrateful”, “dishonest”, and “super arrogant” after the channel supported him during his difficult times.

Surprisingly, Tau revealed that the channel even paid for his legal fees during his recent legal battle.

“You were accused of a serious crime of rape, and the company, out of its own goodwill, and after you requested, offered to pay for your legal fees, and this was a huge amount.. and no less than R1-million,”
Tau stated.

MAKING HEADLINES

However, this is not the first time Jub Jub and the channel have had a rumoured nasty fallout. In 2023, the channel allegedly fired Jub Jub, who sued Moja Love.

Against the rumoured exit, the host returned to the station.
