Exiting? Kaizer Chiefs fan-favourite not in Nasreddine Nabi’s plans!

Kaizer Chiefs are expected to continue their rebuild under coach Nasreddine Nabi in the next transfer window.

Chiefs have backed Nabi with 10 signings in his first season with several outgoings also balancing the squad.

10 players signed by Chiefs

Fiacre Ntwari, Miguel Cardoso, Gaston Sirino, Njabulo Blom, Bradley Cross and Bongani Sam were signed at the start. Chiefs then followed up those signings with the acquisitions of experienced trio Tashreeq Morris, Thabo Cele and Glody Lilepo. But there have also been departures, some just before and after Nabi’s arrival at Naturena.

10 players out!

Before Nabi joined up with Chiefs, players like Itumeleng Khune, Keagan Dolly, Sifiso Hlanti, Siyethemba Sithebe and Njabulo Ngcobo were released. Jasond Gonzales was also let go after an unsuccessful loan spell. The Tunisian mentor then oversaw the departures of Donay Jansen and Sabelo Radebe on loan. The duo joined SuperSport United and Richard’s Bay FC respectively. In January, Christian Saile and Mduduzi Mdantsane were added to the same list and to the exact same teams.

It is expected that more players will leave Chiefs at the end of the season. This as Nabi continues to shape his vision at the club. One of the players that has struggled for both fitness and game time in recent years is Nkosingiphile Ngcobo. According to Soccer-Laduma, the club are looking to loan him out next season.

Amakhosi looking to loan out Ngcobo

“You remember, they (Chiefs) were supposed to loan him (Ngcobo) out at the start of the season but with injuries and lack of signings in that position they kept him but still he hasn’t played that much compared to other midfielders because he is not in the coach’s plans. So the technical team and management have agreed that the best solution is to loan him out next season,” said a source to the same publication.

Is that the right move by Nabi?

Chiefs fans, would it be good for Ngcobo to get more playing time elsewhere? Or should he be getting more of a chance under Nabi? Let us know by clicking on the comment tab.
