Kaizer Chiefs Transfer News: Two Players

Kaizer Chiefs are set to continue building a new team for next season and beyond. The process started in defence. In January, the club is due to sort out the midfield and the frontline.

According to Soccer Laduma and coach Nasreddine Nabi’s team selection patterns, the 30-year-old central midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa is not in the Tunisian coach’s plans. Reports say the former Stellenbosch FC star is expected to exit Amakhosi in January, while Njabulo Blom is expected to sign a permanent deal.

Additionally, Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly targeting to sign Stellenbosch FC’s elegant midfield maestro Sihle Nduli.

HUGO BROOS SAYS NO TO KAIZER CHIEFS GASTON SIRINO

Kaizer Chiefs star Gaston Sirino will probably want to prove a point after this.

As reported at the start of the year, the 33-year-old Uruguayan qualified for South African citizenship after more than five years in Mzansi.

With Bafana’s leading playmaker Themba Zwane out injured for several months, Broos has been asked what he thinks of Sirino as a replacement. The Belgian coach responded to say the Kaizer Chiefs attacker is on the wrong side of 30 and simply not his kind of player.

“I know that Sirino is a very good player and I know also he can be very important for Chiefs, but he is not really the player I want,” Broos said as quoted by Hollywoodbets.

“Secondly, he is also (33 years old), I think. I looked for months to have somebody else than Themba because he was old at that time and I couldn’t go and take another older player.

“I want to find younger players than Sirino even though he is a good player,” Broos concluded on the Amakhosi attacker.
