South African actress, podcaster and strip club owner Tebogo Thobejane is international. The Ayeye actress scored herself a role in a newly released movie, Single Not Searching, where she acts alongside Hollywood and Nollywood stars — Daily Sun reports.

TEBOGO THOBEJANE BAGS ROLE IN INTERNATIONAL FILM

The media personality told The publication that she is over the moon about her latest acting gig. In the American film, Single Not Searching, the City Girls podcast host plays a girl who’s trying to win a guy over.

The film, which was released on Friday 9 September in America, sees Thobejane acting alongside Hollywood stars such as Lisa Raye McCoy (Single Ladies), Brad James (Tyler Perry’s For Better Or Worse), and Brely Evans (Ambitions).

“This is my first international film and I’m excited about it. It’s not a big role, but I believe it’s a door that will lead to more opportunities,” Thobejane said.

According to the actress, the filmed in Atlanta, US and Ghana.

TEBOGO ON HOW SHE GOT THE ROLE

Tebogo Thobejane also acts alongside her friend and Nollywood actress, Osas Ighodaro.

She shared that she met the award-winning actress when they were part of a show called Assistant Madams in Nigeria a few years ago.

“She is one of the biggest stars in Nollywood, and she’s my friend,” she said.

“At the time of the auditions for Single Not Searching, I was in Ghana and she called me and asked that I audition. I did and I got the role,” said Thobejane.

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING RUMOURS

Last week, the Diep City actress took to social media to address human trafficking claims in connection to her strip club, Club X.

According to Thobejane, someone was posing as her on WhatsApp to lure girls into an alleged human trafficking syndicate. In a video, she addressed the rumours and claimed that someone was “after” her. Thobejane said that she had been getting harassed a lot because of the alleged fake account.

“I don’t need to engage in this kind of cr*p. And it’s like they’re trying to human traffic people using my nane and I don’t like that.

“They will steal you guys. So stop being desperate and answering this. Its just that some of my girls, they know better because they know how we run our stuff.
