Under-firing Kaizer Chiefs striker bangs four goals in one match

Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro scored four goals as Amakhosi defeated Al Shahaniya 5-2 in a pre-season friendly match.

Amakhosi emerged victorious in their third pre-season friendly match on Saturday afternoon in Istanbul. At one point, the match was locked at 1-1 going into half time but the Soweto giants scored four more goals in the second half to seal a comprehensive victory.

Chivaviro scored four goals for Kaizer Chiefs while Mfundo Vilakazi netted the last goal. The team has been in Turkey for over three weeks and is expected to return to South Africa in the coming days.

Kaizer Chiefs scoring goals at last

Having finished only 10th in the DStv Premiership, Amakhosi have made wholesale changes to their technical team. New coach Nasredding Nabi brought his technical team to assist him at Naturena. The team have so far made only three new signings and all of them however did not take part in the pre-season tour to Turkey.

With Chivaviro scoring goals, it appears that Kaizer Chiefs might be firing again. The striker only managed to net four goals in 20 matches last season but showed flashes of brilliance in the latter stages of the campaign.

Amakhosi might need to bring in a new striker to add to their attacking options given the club parted ways with Jasond Gonzalez. The Colombian striker failed to find goals in Kaizer Chiefs colours and was ultimately released last month.

Will Ranga fire for Chiefs this coming season?
